Islamic Center of Detroit Hosts Annual “Day of Dignity” on September 6
Community event offers free meals, school supplies, winter gear, and family activities in partnership with Islamic Relief USA.
The Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD) is pleased to announce the return of its annual Day of Dignity event, scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 14350 Tireman St, Detroit, MI 48228.
Sponsored by Islamic Relief USA, this event is designed to provide essential resources and a joyful day for individuals and families in need across the community.
Day of Dignity 2025: Free Meals, Family Fun, and Community Support in Detroit
Day of Dignity has become a cherished Detroit tradition, offering free hot meals, hygiene kits, backpacks, school supplies, winter coats, gloves, and more. Families will also enjoy fun activities including bounce houses, balloon art, and face painting.
Sufian Nabhan, Executive Director of the ICD, stated:“Every year, Day of Dignity brings us together to make a real difference in people’s lives. Thanks to the generous support of Islamic Relief USA, we can reach more families and continue this tradition rooted in compassion and community service.”
The ICD welcomes all community members to attend, whether they are seeking assistance or simply looking for a day of family fun. The event is free and open to the public.
