Yemeni American Society of North Alabama: Building Unity, Trade, and Community Leadership
Led by President Hisham Moazab, YASA has become a model of Yemeni-American cooperation—fostering business success, cultural pride, and community empowerment in Huntsville and beyond.

Hisham Moazab, President of the Yemeni American Society of North Alabama (YASA), has successfully turned the Yemeni community in North Alabama into a model for Yemeni-American communities across the United States. Under his leadership, YASA has showcased the community’s strength in unity, cooperation, and business development.
One of the landmark achievements was the establishment of the first Yemeni Trade Expo in America, which brought together Yemeni-American entrepreneurs from across the state. This historic event marked the first official Yemeni-American trade exhibition, highlighting Yemeni products, businesses, and investment opportunities.
YASA has also been an active supporter of cultural and sporting events, including sponsoring the Second U.S. Yemeni American Cup, a national soccer tournament for Yemeni-American communities, recently hosted in Alabama. Representing the society in this tournament was the official team, Alabama Eagles Club, which competed proudly under YASA’s banner.

Founding of YASA
