Haute Hijab emerged in 2010 after a realization familiar to countless Muslim women: finding a high-quality, comfortable hijab that felt stylish and empowering was nearly impossible. Hijabs were treated as afterthoughts — never designed with real craftsmanship, innovation, or care. I knew Muslim women deserved far better.
So we set out to create the hijabs our community had always needed. Guided by the Islamic principle of ihsaan — striving for beauty and excellence in everything we do — I founded Haute Hijab with co-founder Ahmed Zedan. Together, we searched tirelessly for the best fabrics, rigorously testing each one for breathability, durability, comfort, and elegance. The goal was clear: build hijabs that elevate the everyday experience for Muslim women around the world.
Since then, Haute Hijab has grown into a global brand celebrated for its innovation and unwavering commitment to its values. Our four core principles — passion & mission, openness & growth, hustle & grit, and integrity & intention — drive every design, every collection, and every interaction with our community.
As our brand evolved, so did our innovations. In 2018, we launched our groundbreaking Luxury Collection — a fusion of timeless elegance and superior craftsmanship — later featured in Elle, Glamour, Vogue Arabia, and more. We followed with our Ultimate Underscarves, combining advanced fabric technology with precision design. The result: an underscarf unlike anything the modest fashion industry had seen.
