Every April, Arab American Heritage Month honors the rich history, vibrant culture, and countless contributions of Arab Americans across the United States. This year, Montclair is thrilled to present the inaugural Farah Festival, a family-friendly cultural celebration designed to showcase the best of Arab heritage and art.
A Festival of Joy and Culture
Hosted by the Foundation for Arab American Heritage (FARAH), the Farah Festival promises an unforgettable afternoon of cultural immersion. “Farah” translates to “happiness” and “joy” in Arabic, perfectly capturing the spirit of the event. Scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Montclair Art Museum, the festival features a dynamic mix of live performances, a bustling artisan marketplace (souk), interactive family craft activities, and a delectable array of traditional Arab cuisine.
An Authentic Experience for All
Visitors will have the opportunity to savor the tastes of the Arab world—from rich Arabic coffee and refreshing mocktails to authentic Levantine wines and classic dishes. In addition, admission to the festival grants access to the museum’s galleries, allowing guests to explore compelling art exhibits that further celebrate Arab culture and heritage.
A Review of Arab American Heritage Month
Attendees of the Farah Festival have shared glowing reviews, highlighting the event as a true celebration of diversity and cultural pride. One visitor remarked, “The festival is a vibrant and heartwarming showcase of Arab American heritage.
